I chose this verse because I love the simple yet profound truth of it...and it's also an easy one to remember! It speaks to me of the consistency of God's nature - he is totally dependable and always true to Himself; God does not lie. At the same time He is not boringly the same - there is always more we can learn about Him, both from His word and through personal relationship with Him. At times when you don't 'feel' God near, reminding yourself of this verse may be a source of comfort and hope.

ReplyDeleteI think it is a really good verse to chose because I think it as he did die but rose again and he'll never have to do something like that again.

ReplyDeleteIt reminds that God is just a loving now as he was when Jesus was dying on the cross, just as powerful now as when he parted the Red Sea ...
