Do you not know?Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak
Isaiah 40:28-29
Janet Peters
I love these verses and the hope they offer. We need reminding that God is way bigger and stronger than any situation we may face, and that He longs for us to live in His strength and power.
ReplyDeleteSaturdays are often a day for feeling tired & weary. How fantastic that our God is not like us - in fact he's totally different....and will happily give us HIS power & strength whenever we run out of our own!

I chose these verses because they remind us to keep our eyes fixed on God and put all our trust in Him. They are special to me because I have these on a marquetry picture which my Dad made just before he died.

I am so humbled the God would choose the weary to give His strength to, and the weak to give his power to. People like me.
ReplyDeleteOur reverse kingdom in operation once again.
I am going to write that out and put it where I will see it when I wake up in the morning.
